Grandfather Clause

A word of warning for noobs who read the Ladder Theory or [fs.com] and try to improve themselves through it...

There's a particular aspect of the experience that we like to call The Grandfather Clause. Once a man has read LT and mASF and starts to change himself for the better, there's a big temptation to go back to a former one-itis or IP and test this stuff out on them, and finally capture that one unattainable woman he always wanted. This NEVER works. Because no matter how much the man has changed his perspective from this stuff, whenever he approaches the old girl from before he knew this, there's something strange about her, and every feeling he gets when around her, that turns him back into the AFC he was before. Furthermore, this girl already likely has a solid view of him in her mind already that he is, and always will be, an IW beta male, and no matter how much he's changed, she'll always see that in him. But what the Grandfather Clause really refers to is the feeling inside the man when he suddenly realizes, he's acting more like his old self again whenever he gets around her.

If you've NEXTed your IP or whoever since reading LT and made some real changes in yourself, you need to stick with that NEXTing. Don't even think about going back to that old girl, it's simply not going to work, you'll revert to your former AFC self immediately. Many posters on the forum have reported these feelings.

For those that don't know, the expression "the Grandfather Clause", comes from an old United States [law regarding voting] soon after the days of slavery.
