Flake

Flaking is a way of getting out of a situation you don't want to be in - usually in a reactive way. Often used by the ladies to not go on a date with a guy they don't want to see, even though they said they would.

Examples:

• Not answering when called, or not replying to a voicemail.
• Not showing up where agreed upon ("standing someone up").
• Saying that "plans have changed." This may mean she will bring a friend or another guy, or say she can't make it, but would next week work? (She'll probably flake next week, too)

Sometimes flaking is one of the shit-tests a girl will give you, and other times it might be a sure sign that the girl doesn't like you. So what's the best way to counter it? Act like it doesn't matter to you, or act Cocky/Funny and take a stab at getting her to go out again. Usually at this point it will be understood by your peers if you eject. Who wants a girl who is going to flake? Answer: no one.
